A title plant consists of all relevant public records affecting real estate within a specific County. FNT is proud to own and maintain our own title plants right here in Arkansas, and once your property is under contract, our title agents will perform a detailed title search to confirm that the seller can convey clear title to the property with no encumbrances. Typical encumbrances you’re likely to encounter include clerical errors or liens against the title if the seller has outstanding debts or legal judgments. It’s also possible for unknown heirs with legitimate property claims to emerge if a previous owner died without leaving a will.

Once the title search is complete and our agents are satisfied that the property title is clean and unencumbered, and once the closing of the transaction has been completed, FNT will issue an owner’s title insurance policy to the new owner from a leading insurer.
