Our team at First National Title (FNT) takes great pride in our commitment to legendary customer service, and we're here to ensure that you have a smooth, hassle-free experience from contract to closing. Contact us as soon as your offer is accepted, and our team of professionals will start the process with a thorough title search and examination. And if you've ever wondered what exactly they're searching for, you're certainly not alone!
We're proud to be Arkansas' largest independent title company, and we have 26 Arkansas locations to serve you. You'll always be able to work with an agent in or near your community, and we operate our own title plant right here in The Natural State. The purpose of the title search and examination is to confirm that the seller either has, or will be able to convey clear, unencumbered title so that the closing can proceed as scheduled without unexpected delays.
The most common problems you're likely to encounter during this part of the process are liens against the property title due to outstanding debts or legal judgments. Some encumbrances are relatively simple to resolve, such as misfiled paperwork, and if a previous property owner died without a will, there may even be previously unknown heirs with a legitimate claim to the property. Once our title agents have completed the title search and examination and are fully satisfied that the title can be properly conveyed, you'll be interacting with our tremendous Team of escrow agents and assistants to further prepare for closing.
After the sale has been fully consummated through the closing process, our final step will be to issue you an owner's title insurance policy to protect your home or land investment. We offer title insurance products from highly-rated underwriters, including First American Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land and Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and your policy will remain in effect for as long as you own your home. In the unlikely event of a future title dispute, your policy protects you.
Whether you're buying your first home or your "forever home," we're here to ensure that the closing process goes smoothly. If you have any questions about title insurance or real estate closings in Arkansas, contact us online or at any of our 26 convenient Arkansas locations listed below!
